Entering the US
According to Idaulimar Fernandez, Fuenmayor’s cousin, he left Venezuela through the Darien Jungle with a group of friends. He spent 8 months in a shelter in Mexico until his CBP One appointment scheduled through the app came up. He presented himself to a guard in San Ysidro, where a body inspection revealed a tattoo that the agents said were Tren de Aragua tattoos. The tattoos are from the video game, Call to Duty.
Deported to CECOT
According to his mother who had three monitored video calls with Fuenmayor, he was deceived in signing a form authorizing his deportation to Venezuela. Instead, his mother recognized him in a video of detainees arriving in El Salvador.
