Cristhian Pinto Velasquez
Cristhian’s sister, Yennifer, stated he left Venezuela in 2024 in search of a better life leaving his two daughters behind. Once he arrived in Mexico, he applied for an appointment through the CPB One app. Before he could attend his appointment, he was kidnapped for 15-20 days along with other migrants by a group of Mexican narco traffickers. His family paid a ransom for his release.
A local shelter helped after his release and he was able to book another appointment through the CPB One app. His tattoos flagged him as a member of Tren de Aragua. He was detained in Texas where his sister said Cristhian told her he received psychological torture that forced him to sign a document that he was a member of Tren de Aragua.
An immigration hearing was scheduled for March 11,2025. However according to his sister that hearing did not take place. His family did not hear from him again and found his name on the list of men expelled to El Salvador.
Rosabi Pinto, a relative of Cristhian, has joined other families in demanding President Bukele release the men in CECOT
