It appears that Mr. Ramierez was sentenced to 25 years in prison following the loss of his appeal last August. It would have been assumed that those years would have been spent in a US prison, under the conditions that US prisoners experience. However, he was transferred to CECOT, where conditions are inhumane and not conducive to life.
